If so, then read on, we may have just the role for you.

About Four Paws Veterinary Clinic

Four Paws was purchased by Dr. Prince and Dr. Maguire in 2016 and over the last 7 years has nearly tripled in size.  Our patients are our focus and we believe this is key to our success.  We are an independent practice, thriving and growing, because we are dedicated to our patients, clients, and employees.

Our growth over the last several years has required us to expand our appointment and surgery schedule to accommodate the needs of our growing patient base.  We have an opportunity to add an experienced associate to work alongside our owners and long-term associate to provide an even better client experience.

At our clinic, we have all the equipment you would expect in a modern veterinary clinic including an ultrasound.  We have skilled support staff to allow you to focus on diagnosing disease and communicating with clients while they care for the patients.  We believe that preventative care is key to long term health.  We have a robust senior exam program, a growing dental focus, and are incorporating diagnostic ultrasound to our repertoire.  Our veterinary experience and skilled support staff allow us to keep most of our cases in house providing the best service to our clients and timely care for our patients.

We strive for consistent, quality standards of care while managing a sustainable practice.  For example, all anesthetic procedures receive an IV catheter, IV fluids, and a dedicated anesthesia technician.  Pain medications are required for all surgical procedures.  We are always transparent with clients about costs and honest about their pet’s prognosis.

In terms of culture, you can expect a friendly, welcoming, collaborative environment.  We ask each other questions daily and give and receive feedback regularly.  We value a team effort with respect to patient care and client service.  We are confident yet able to admit mistakes and expect open, honest communication.

About You

We are looking for someone who can fit our team culture and values.  We all know how awesome it can be to work with people who just seem to get us.  Here is what matters most to us as a team:

  1. We believe there is always more to learn, which will help us grow.
  2. Comprehensive care for patients, clients, and staff is the core of what we do.
  3. We hold truth and transparency as moral imperatives.
  4. Effective communication is the foundation for all successful relationships.
  5. We achieve more together than individually.

You will need at least 2 years of experience working in a small animal clinic. You will be confident in dentistry, basic soft tissue surgery, and medical work ups.  If you have an interest in behavior, that is a bonus.

You’ll be the type of vet who is OK with working with and helping to advance our standards of care. We like to have some basic guidelines to work with to improve patient outcomes and client consistency.

We need someone who works well with others and enjoys collaboration.  We need someone who can clearly advocate for our patients and form relationships with our clients.  We need someone who is believes in our values and can lead our support staff when needed.

You’ll be the type of person who can manage time, priorities, and gets the job done so every patient can receive the care that they need.

The Role

We need a full-time veterinarian to work 4 shifts each week (7:30 am-5:30 pm) with one day off during the week.  There is no on-call or weekend work.

You will be doing wellness appointments, medical appointments, diagnostic work ups, medical procedures, dentistry, and surgery.

The Package

We are a small practice but believe in paying our employees fairly.  We pay a competitive daily rate based on experience,16 days of PTO, plus up to 5 paid holidays per year.  We believe salary rather than production facilitates a less competitive, team-based approach to patient care.  We offer medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and pet discounts for all full-time employees.  We pay for liability insurance, AVMA dues, MVMA dues, MT licensing fees, and a CE allowance.  After one year, you will qualify for our Safe-Harbor 401K with up to 4% match and a profit-sharing program.
