Associate Veterinarian

Western Montana Equine is looking for a new full-time or part-time doctor to add to its ranks! Our practice has been built on friendliness and communication with our clients. We strive to keep things fun so finding someone that fits into that scenario is imperative!

We provide medical, surgical, emergency, reproduction, and preventative care to horses (and an occasional small ruminant) both in-clinic and ambulatory to the surrounding area. Appointments are mixed 50/50 between ambulatory and in-clinic. Our patients are mixed Western and English performance horses with some backyard pets mixed in. Equipment available includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, digital endoscope, and power dental equipment. Our in-house lab includes CBC, Chemistry, SAA, microscope, and Pro-Stride/PRP.

Missoula is a beautiful area to live, work, and play. The people here are incredibly nice and clients respectful. If you enjoy the outdoors this is the place you want to live! There is world-class fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, hot springs, trail riding, concerts/entertainment, and scenic views everywhere! We are in close proximity to the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Flathead Lake, and Glacier National Park. Travel is convenient as there is an international airport within a few miles of the clinic. Summers here are gorgeous and winters are actually very moderate compared to the rest of Montana.

Compensation will be a salary base plus production. Benefits include a work vehicle, health and liability insurance, licensing fees, AAEP and state membership dues. Business partnership is optional and encouraged for the right person. Applicants should have a drive to build clientele and develop those relationships.
