If so, then read on, we may have just the role for you.

About Four Paws Veterinary Clinic

Four Paws is an independent, locally owned small animal practice in Missoula, MT and has been under the ownership of Dr. Prince and Dr. Maguire since 2016.  Over the last 8 years, the clinic has grown from a 1.5 to a 3 FTE DVM practice. Our mission is ‘To be the premier independent general practice in the Missoula area with exceptional preventative medical care, specialty services, and a rewarding work environment’.

At Four Paws, our patients are our focus and we believe this is key to our success. The purpose of Four Paws is ‘To honor your pet’s unconditional joy and love by advocating for their every need’. This purpose is our north star and informs all diagnostic, treatment, and business decisions we make. As described by our former associate, Dr. Nic Bauer, “Four Paws provides gold standard care at a price that is affordable for clients”.

At our clinic we have all the equipment you need to provide great care including in house labs, dental x-ray, and an ultrasound. Dr. Prince completed the 70-hour WAVE abdominal ultrasound certification coarse so we are able to provide diagnostic ultrasounds in house for our patients. We have skilled support staff to allow you to focus on diagnosing disease and communicating with clients while they care for the patients. We believe that the most qualified support staff should do the most skilled jobs rather than the everyone does everything approach. We believe that preventative care is key to long term health. We have a robust bi-annual senior exam program and a growing dental focus. For anesthetic procedures, safety and pain management are paramount- IV catheters, IV fluids, a dedicated anesthesia technician, and pain medications are required.

Our culture is maintained by honoring and upholding our values. Our values of Growth, Comprehensive Care, Honesty, Effective Communication, and Teamwork are essential to the function of our practice. We ask each other questions daily and do feedback regularly. We value a team effort with respect to patient care and client service. We are confident yet able to admit mistakes and expect open, honest communication. We are comfortable sharing when we are having a tough day, we laugh and have fun at an appropriate volume, and we know how to get stuff done when the situation calls for it. Maintaining a thriving culture takes work and we expect everyone to contribute to our culture in a positive way.
