Missoula Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery is a locally owned, leading veterinary dentistry clinic dedicated to providing top-notch anesthetic dental care for pets. We are located in Missoula, Montana. Our team is led by two Board Certified Veterinary Dentists who are leaders in the field, and live and work full time in Missoula. We are committed to improving the oral health and overall well-being of animals through advanced dental procedures, state of the art technology and compassionate care. Our team is passionate about what they do, and we are looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing practice.

Some of the Key Duties of a Veterinary Technician will include:

• Assist Board Certified Veterinary Dentists in performing dental examinations and procedures, including cleanings, extractions, and oral surgeries.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures, including anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Educate pet owners on proper oral care and dental hygiene.
• Provide post-operative care and instructions to pet owners.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

• Must be a licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Montana.
• Previous experience in a veterinary dental setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia, dental anatomy, and dental procedures.
• Veterinary Technician Specialist Certifications in Dentistry, Anesthesia or other related specialties are preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and pet owners.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality care to animals.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary dentistry.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
