Responsibilities:
Successful applicant will provide canine and feline emergency/urgent/critical care while maintaining exemplary customer service. We love our clients and employees; we expect them to be treated with kindness by all members of the team. You will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of dedicated veterinary assistants and technicians during your shift while they do treatments, diagnostics and communicate the financial aspects of the visit with the client. Proficiency in both medical and surgical case management is necessary. Must be comfortable in surgery and high paced environment where multitasking is required. Experience with Avimark is beneficial but not required. Essential to have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and be a team player. Motivated new graduates with an interest in emergency medicine and surgery are encouraged to apply. We have mentored other new graduates and are happy to make a custom mentoring plan for you.
Schedule:
Rotating schedule consisting of days, nights, weekends and holidays. 12 shifts per month. Possibility for part-time position as well. 12-hour shifts. No on call. With our standard schedule rotation, you'll get 9 days off, in a row, every 6 weeks. If you're looking for larger chunks of time off, just ask. Work 9 months, get 3 months off?
