Florence Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal animal clinic in the beautiful Bitterroot valley. We are located in Florence, Montana and have been open since September 2021. We are looking for a veterinarian to join our team as we continue to grow.

Our brand new building is designed for patient, client, and employee comfort. We have four exam rooms and four exam tables in treatment. Dogs and cats have their own rooms both for exams and while staying at clinic. We have a surgery suite and offer digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and full in-house lab equipment.

Our clinic specializes in dogs, cats and occasionally smaller animals. We are hoping to expand to large animals in the next couple years as well. If you're a large animal veterinarian, please apply! 

We are not open on weekends and do not have after hour emergency hours. Business hours are M-F 8a-5p. Our last appointment of the day is at 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals and check their health status
  • Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
  • Treat sick patients
  • Perform elective, emergency, and dental surgeries
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
  • Prescribe medication
  • Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive care and general care
  • Update patient records

Skills

  • Team player with excellent communication skills required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Patience and a love for animals
  • Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
  • Previous work experience as a veterinarian preferred but willing to train
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree required
